Neal McCann

Director, Quality Engineering at Owl Cyber Defense

Neal McCann has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Neal has held various leadership positions in the technology industry, consistently delivering high-quality products and driving organizational transformation.

Starting in 1991, Neal worked at GTE Government Systems as a Systems Engineer. Neal played a crucial role in defining software requirements, managing subcontractors, conducting system integration testing, and delivering in-field training for the US Army.

In 1995, Neal joined Shiva Corporation as a Senior Software QA Engineer. Neal pioneered the use of Ganymede Chariot for load and performance testing, represented the company in Radius AAA bake-offs, and led test engineering efforts for multiple releases.

From 1998 to 2000, Neal worked at Altiga Networks as a Senior Test Engineer. Most recently, Neal worked at EditShare as the Director of Quality Engineering. Neal directed an international team of test engineers and contract partners, ensuring high-quality, on-time releases of Editshare Video and Storage products. Neal delivered seven consecutive successful quarterly releases, implemented a regression test strategy, and developed a measurable quality process.

Currently, Neal works at Owl Cyber Defense as the Director of Quality Engineering.

Neal McCann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Following that, they pursued a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Software Engineering Using C at Northeastern University, completing the program from 1995 to 1996. Before their undergraduate education, Neal attended Norwood High School from 1984 to 1987, though no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period.
