Nolan Poulin

Nolan Poulin has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Nolan currently serves as the Principal Robotics Engineer at Owl Labs, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, from July 2021 to December 2022, they worked as a Senior Robotics Engineer at Owl Labs.

Before joining Owl Labs, Nolan worked at BLUE ORIGIN as a Navigation Engineer II from August 2019 to July 2021. Nolan also has experience working at MITRE as a Signal Processing Engineer from September 2017 to August 2019, and as a Signal Processing Intern from May 2017 to August 2017.

Furthermore, Nolan has worked as a Project Engineer at Technical Systems, Inc. (TSI) from April 2015 to May 2016, where they specialized in providing custom SCADA software for water treatment plants. Nolan also worked as a Controls Engineer at Electroimpact from July 2013 to April 2015, programming CNC assembly robots for commercial aircraft.

In addition to their engineering roles, Nolan has worked in outdoor education as a Physical Education Instructor at Cornell Outdoor Education from August 2010 to May 2013, where they taught various outdoor activities such as rock climbing, trail running, and canoeing.

Nolan's previous experience also includes a role in Numerical Modeling at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) / University of Karlsruhe (TH) in 2012, where they developed a simulation to optimize the Diffusion Bonding process. Nolan has also worked as a Laboratory Technician at the Scalable Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory from September 2011 to May 2012, and as a Machine Shop Technician at Cornell University: Emerson Machine Shop from June 2011 to May 2012.

Nolan Poulin earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2013. Nolan later pursued a Master of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 2018.
