Klaas Freitag

Klaas Freitag has worked in various roles since 1996. Klaas began as a Software Developer for HEITEC Erlangen. In 1999, they worked as a Software Developer for SUSE Linux Products GmbH and as a Master of Disaster for Goofy Enterprises. In 2001, they began working for Novell Inc. as a Teamlead of the openSUSE Boosters Team, an Architect of Operations and Services, and a Teamlead of Internal Tools. In 2009, they became the openSUSE Boosters Teamlead for SUSE Linux (Attachmate Group). In 2012, they returned to ownCloud as the Head of Engineering, Teamlead of Desktop Syncing, and Senior Software Developer. In 2016, they moved to SUSE as the Engineering Director of Enterprise Cloud. In 2018, they began working for Heidolph Instruments GmbH & Co. KG as the Leiter Softwareentwicklung. Klaas currently serves as the CTO of ownCloud.

Klaas Freitag obtained a Diplom in Electrical Engineering and Microelectronics from FH Nürnberg between 1991 and 1996.
