Matt Vestal is an experienced software engineer with a career spanning from 2004 to the present. In 2004, they began as a Software Engineer at IBM, where they developed an enterprise web application and created online educational and promotional materials. Matt then became a Software Engineer, Co-op at the same company. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at Vrbo as a Staff Software Engineer, developing key aspects of the shopping experience and creating libraries for sharing business logic, object models, and UI elements. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Facebook as a Front End Engineer, leading the migration of the "Saved" tab of the Facebook app from native iOS and Android to React Native and collaborating with product managers, designers, and user researchers to build exploratory features and surfaces.
