Nicholas Newberry

Nicholas Newberry has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Nicholas began their career at Espial in 2006 as a Software Developer, where they designed and developed carrier-grade software and hardware systems. Nicholas then transitioned to the role of Technical Solution Manager, where they designed and planned the integration of Espial products into customer systems. Nicholas also worked on-site to integrate client and server IPTV middleware and VOD products with customer systems. In 2013, they became a Solutions Architect, where they served as the technical lead on customer integration projects and was responsible for designing server-side IPTV middleware and IPTV VOD server solutions. Nicholas later transitioned to the role of Systems Architect, where they continued to contribute to system design and architecture. In 2018, Nicholas joined Shopify as a Senior Developer, where they worked until 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Cloud Operations at RCGT Consulting since 2020 and has recently been promoted to the role of Director of Engineering in July 2021.

Nicholas Newberry attended Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2003 to 2006, where they studied Computer Science. Nicholas did not complete a degree program.
