Gunnar Niels is a seasoned professional in the field of economics, currently serving as the Managing Partner at Oxera since 1999. Prior to this role, Gunnar held the position of Deputy Head of the Economics Directorate at the Federal Competition Commission in Mexico from 1995 to 1999. Gunnar's academic credentials include both an MSc and a PhD in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, where initial professional experience as a Research Assistant in industrial organization was gained from 1993 to 1994. Additionally, Gunnar has educational roots at Samenwerkingsschool in Waddinxveen, Netherlands.
