Ashfaq Khalfan is an experienced leader in climate justice and international law, currently serving as the Director of Climate Justice at Oxfam America since May 2022. In addition to this role, Ashfaq Khalfan has been the Chair at the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law since 2009. Prior to these positions, Ashfaq Khalfan worked at Amnesty International for over a decade, holding roles such as Director of the Law and Policy Programme and Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Policy Coordinator. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Law from the University of Oxford, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.), and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science (Honours) with a Minor in International Development from McGill University.
