Laura Neumayer is an accomplished professional in the fields of agriculture, food security, democracy, and human rights. Currently serving as an Agriculture and Food Security Policy Advisor at Oxfam America since October 2022, Laura previously held research associate positions at the National Endowment for Democracy and Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain. Notable contributions include providing research consultation for international fellows focused on democracy and human rights, organizing Congressional briefings, and conducting research on human rights violations against Bahraini women. Laura’s earlier roles include advocacy fellow at the Arab American Institute and various internships related to justice, rights education, and digital marketing. Laura holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies and a degree in International Studies with a focus on Global Inequality and Development from American University.
