Yodit Zenebe Mekuria

Yodit Zenebe Mekuria currently serves as the Country Director for Oxfam in Ethiopia since February 2025. Prior to this role, Yodit held multiple leadership positions at Splash International from June 2022 to January 2025, including Director for East Africa and Country Director for Ethiopia. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Programs at Plan International Ethiopia from January 2021 to June 2022, and various roles at Plan International spanning from 2008 to 2021, including Program Manager at the African Union Liaison Office and Programme Manager at Plan International Finland. Yodit also worked briefly with the UNDP as a Junior Supervisor and had an early career in academia and the private sector. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oslo and an MPhil in Peace and Conflict Transformation from UiT - The Arctic University of Norway.
