Charlie Lawrie

Charlie Lawrie is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Sussex since September 2021 and also serves as a Research Consultant at the International Centre for Tax and Development and as a Contributing Writer for Oxford Analytica, both roles beginning in May and April 2021, respectively. Previously, Charlie worked as a Graduate Consultant for a Major Electric and Gas Utility and as Deputy Project Director at Triangle - Policy | Research | Media. Experience includes serving as a Desk Officer for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and as a Research Intern at Inter Mediate. Educationally, Charlie holds a degree in International Relations and Economics, with a focus on Energy and Environment from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a degree in Middle Eastern and Slavonic Studies, specializing in Arabic and Russian Studies from the University of Cambridge. Achievements include preparing in-depth briefings for international conflicts, managing significant project budgets, and translating critical documents in multiple languages.
