Kirstie Pemberton

Kirstie Pemberton is a highly experienced Principal Scientist and Team Lead at Oxford Biomedica since August 2020, contributing to the development and optimisation of lentiviral production methods within the Process Science and Innovation Group. Previously, Kirstie served as a Senior Scientist II and Senior Scientist I at Oxford Biomedica, enhancing the GMP manufacturing process for gene therapy lentiviral vectors and advancing the company's clinical trial capabilities. Earlier career experiences include an EngD Researcher role at Newcastle University, focusing on Biopharmaceutical Process Development in collaboration with Oxford Biomedica, and a Cell Culture Scientist position at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where Kirstie was involved in the production of immunodiagnostic assay kits. Kirstie holds a Doctorate in Biopharmaceutical Process Development from Newcastle University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Criminology from Keele University.
