Magdalena Martin-Urdiroz

Senior Scientist at Oxford BioMedica

Magdalena Martin-Urdiroz is a Senior Scientist at Oxford Biomedica since April 2020, previously serving as a Senior Scientist at Immunocore Ltd. from November 2017 to March 2020, where contributions were made to the discovery and development of high-affinity T cell receptors for infectious diseases. Prior to Immunocore, Magdalena worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter for nearly a decade, focusing on the functional genomics of plant infection by the rice blast fungus and supporting research on cell division in Drosophila melanogaster. Earlier research experience includes a BBSRC funded project on polarized secretion in Ustilago maydis and a Ph.D. from Universidad de Córdoba, centered on the genetic characterization of chitin synthesis in Fusarium oxysporum. Magdalena holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universidad de Córdoba.
