Lucy Mazdon

Lucy Mazdon is currently the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dean of Humanities & Social Sciences at Oxford Brookes University. Prior to this, they were the Dean at The University of Hull from July 2019 to January 2022. Before that, they served as the Associate Dean Research and Enterprise at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Southampton from February 2018 to June 2019. Mazdon has been with the University of Southampton since 1996, serving in various positions including their most recent role as Associate Dean Research and Enterprise. Mazdon is a highly accomplished academic with a wealth of experience in research and enterprise. Lucy is a passionate advocate for the humanities and social sciences, and is committed to providing an excellent education for all students.

Lucy Mazdon received their PhD from the University of Southampton, their Master of Arts from the University of Warwick, and their DEUG from Université Grenoble Alpes.

Lucy Mazdon reports to Katherine Grainger, Chancellor. They work with Alistair Fitt - Vice-Chancellor, Brendan Casey - Registrar & Chief Operating Officer, and Anne-Marie Kilday - Pro Vice-Chancellor, Student and Staff Experience.
