Javier Corominas is the Head of Global Macro Strategy at Oxford Economics, a role held since June 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Macro Strategist at Smart Currency Business, where the focus was on designing FX and interest rate hedging solutions for corporate Treasuries and investment funds. Previously, Javier held various positions at Record Currency Management, including Director - Head of Research and Chief Macro Strategist, where responsibilities included global macro strategy, tactical asset allocation, and client-focused risk management. Javier began the career as an Eurozone Economist at Oxford Economics, monitoring macroeconomic forecasts and econometric models for the Eurozone. Academic qualifications include an M.Phil in Economics and a BA (Hons) in Economics, both from the University of Cambridge, and an International Baccalaureate from the International College Spain.
