Andrew Twin

Andrew Twin is a seasoned technology manager with extensive experience in the nanoscience sector, currently overseeing technological advancements at Oxford Instruments since 1998. Throughout a distinguished career, Andrew has held various management roles, including Engineering Manager and New Product Introduction Manager, leading multidisciplinary teams and spearheading groundbreaking developments such as the world's first plasma confinement system using HTS magnets. Andrew's technical expertise began with a solid foundation in physics and materials engineering, earning a PhD and BSc from the University of Birmingham, along with significant contributions to innovative projects that have received notable accolades, including two Queen’s Awards for Innovation. Previous roles include Product Test Manager at International Energy Systems and Instrumentation Development Engineer at BNFL, showcasing a breadth of experience in engineering and product development.
