Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson has a strong background in tax, with their most recent position being Head of Tax at Oxford Instruments since 2023. Prior to this role, they served as Group Tax Manager at Oxford Instruments PLC from 2018 to 2023. Matthew also gained extensive experience in tax management during their time at Mazars UK, where they held various roles such as Corporate Tax Manager and Assistant Corporate Tax Manager between 2007 and 2018. Before entering the tax field, they worked as a Senior Lending Officer at HSBC from 2004 to 2007.

Matthew Johnson studied at Durham University from 2001 to 2004, completing a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
