Barbara Ottolini

Barbara Ottolini has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and applications. Barbara started their career as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Leicester in January 2014, where they worked until May 2017. Following this, they joined DiaDx-Liquid Biopsy for personalized cancer medicine as the Chief Scientific Officer from May 2017 to August 2020. Currently, Barbara is working at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where they first joined as a Field Applications Scientist in August 2020 and later promoted to Senior Field Applications Scientist in April 2023.

Barbara Ottolini's education history begins in 2004 when they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Medical Biotechnologies from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca. Barbara continued their education at the same university and completed their Master of Science degree in Medical Biotechnologies in 2007. In 2008, they pursued a Magistère européen de génétique at Université Paris Cité. Finally, Barbara Ottolini furthered their studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Genetics from the University of Leicester in 2013.
