Chris Wright

Chris Wright has a diverse work experience. Chris started their career in education as a Chemistry Teacher at Canford School from September 2011 to May 2012. Chris then transitioned into the field of scientific data analysis, starting as a Scientific Data Analyst at Oxford Nanopore Technologies in June 2012. Over the years, they progressed through various roles, including Senior Scientific Data Analyst, Associate Director of Scientific Data Analysis, and Director of Data Analysis and Customer Workflows. Currently, they serve as the Senior Director of Customer Bioinformatics at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, leading teams responsible for bioinformatics algorithms and workflows. Throughout their career, Chris has focused on developing software and solutions for DNA sequencing, demonstrating their expertise in the field.

Chris Wright attended the University of Oxford from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Following that, they pursued further studies at the same institution from 2007 to 2011, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.) degree with a focus on Physical and Theoretical Chemistry.
