Emma Johnson

Emma Johnson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of biomedical science and applications. Currently serving as the Field Applications Manager for Europe North at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since August 2020, Emma has previously held roles as a Field Applications Scientist and Associate at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge, as well as a Policy Analyst at PHG Foundation. Emma's academic background includes a PhD in Pathology from the University of Cambridge, alongside a Master of Research in Biosystematics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's in Biology from the University of St Andrews. Emma possesses significant lab-based skills including RNA sequencing, bioinformatics, and single cell gene expression, complemented by previous internships and work experience in research and communications within prestigious organizations such as the BBC and Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
