Shawna Matthews

Shawna Matthews, PhD, CMPP, currently serves as Associate Medical Director at Oxford PharmaGenesis, a position held since March 2020, following roles as Senior Medical Writer and Medical Writer within the same organization. Prior to this, Shawna worked as a Freelance Medical Writer at Headwaters Communications from April 2019 to March 2020, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from August 2015 to March 2020. Shawna began their career as a Research Professional at the University of Kansas Medical Center between June 2007 and August 2009. Shawna completed a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Colorado State University from 2009 to 2015, earned a Master's degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Arizona from 2005 to 2007, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from the University of Wyoming from 2001 to 2005.
