Misty Whitehead

Misty Whitehead is a dedicated educational professional with extensive experience in computer science education, currently serving as a Computer Science Teacher and C-Spire’s Software Development Pathway Teacher at Oxford School District since August 2017. Whitehead has developed engaging online course materials while collaborating with district administrators to ensure compatibility with the district's LMS. Additionally, Whitehead has contributed to the Mississippi High School Computer Science Task Force, evaluating high school curriculum and professional development needs. Whitehead holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Spanish from the University of Mississippi. Previous roles include curriculum development for a confidential initiative and teaching positions at Holy Family School, showcasing a well-rounded background in both education and prior industry experience.
