Bernardo Cuenca Grau has an extensive work history primarily in academia and research. Bernardo currently holds the position of Tutorial Fellow at Keble College, Oxford since September 2018. In 2017, they co-founded Oxford Semantic Technologies and serves as its Director. Bernardo has been affiliated with the University of Oxford since 2009, initially starting as a Research Lecturer and progressing to become a Full Professor of Computer Science in July 2015. Bernardo also held positions as a Royal Society University Research Fellow and Associate Professor during their time at the University of Oxford. Additionally, Bernardo worked as a Departmental Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford from 2011 to 2012. Prior to their time at Oxford, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Oxford University and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Manchester. Bernardo also served as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Maryland from 2003 to 2005.
Bernardo Cuenca Grau obtained a Licenciatura (combined BS, MsC) degree in Physics from the University of Valencia, which they pursued from 1996 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the same university, completing it from 2001 to 2005.
