Nicola Martin

Head of HR at Oxford Space Systems

Nicola Martin has over fifteen years of experience in Human Resources. Nicola is currently the Head of HR at Oxford Space Systems, a position they have held since January of 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Global Talent, Learning & OD for Infineum from September 2009 to January 2022. In that role, Nicola was responsible for playing a proactive role in setting the strategic agenda in Talent, OD & Learning. This included analyzing data and trends to make recommendations and develop solutions that meet business needs in areas such as talent acquisition, culture change, succession planning, leadership assessment and development.

From April 2008 to September 2009, Nicola served as the Global HR Advisor for EcoSecurities. In that role, they covered a range of HR disciplines including recruitment, career development, performance management, employee relations, and the provision of rewards and benefits. Nicola also managed payroll across 20 countries.

Nicola began their career in Human Resources in 2002 as an HR Assistant for Blackwell Publishing. Nicola then spent two years as an HR Coordinator for ACNielsen BASES before moving on to ACNielsen where they spent three years as a Resourcing Specialist. In 2008, they became an HR Officer for Crown Technology before returning to Infineum later that year.

They work with Juan Reveles, PhD CEng - CTO, Co-Founder, R&D and Technical Excellence Groups, Mike Lawton - Founder, and Pete Ashworth - Chief Engineer. Nicola Martin reports to Sean Sutcliffe, CEO.
