Barbara Cox

Barbara Cox is an experienced professional in the field of rehabilitation and counseling, currently serving as Site Director at Extra Mile Recovery Addiction Rehab since May 2022. Barbara has held various roles at Oxford Treatment Center since November 2013, including Interim Outpatient Manager, Clinical Therapist, and Outpatient Manager. Previous experience includes Clinical Supervisor at Health Connect America, Director of Community Housing at North Mississippi Regional Center, and Counselor at the Mississippi Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Barbara's early career involved positions as a Customer/Sales Service Representative at Lane Furniture and various roles at Piper Impact. Barbara holds a Master’s Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky and two Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Work and an Associate’s Degree in Social Work from Union University and Northeast Community College, respectively.
