Peter Maher

Peter Maher, CFA, currently serves as Investment Director at Oxford University Endowment Management since July 2023. Previously, Peter held the position of Head of Venture Capital Investing at Legal & General from May 2021 to April 2023. Between August 2014 and May 2021, Peter served as Head of EMEA Private Equity and Venture Capital Research at Cambridge Associates, where responsibilities included sourcing, due diligence, and manager selection in private equity, growth equity, and venture capital. Peter also acted as Senior Director for Family Office Clients, managing multi-asset class portfolios for family offices and UHNW individuals across the US, Europe, and the Middle East. Earlier experience includes serving as International Program Manager at the United States Department of Defense from October 2007 to June 2010, overseeing capacity-building in defense partnerships. Peter holds an MBA in Finance from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, a MALD in International Economics from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, and a BA in International Relations from Tufts University.
