Dawid Hanak

Editorial Board Member

Dawid Hanak serves as a Professor of Decarbonization of Industrial Clusters at both the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre and Teesside University, possessing over a decade of expertise in energy and process engineering. Holding a PhD in Process Engineering for Carbon Capture Systems, Dawid is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Manager, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In addition to academic roles, Dawid founded Motivated Academic, aimed at enhancing the research skills of emerging academics, and contributes as a thought leader and columnist with illuminem. Dawid also engages with the academic community as an Editorial Board Member for the Clean Energy Journal, published by Oxford University Press. Previous experience includes various academic positions at Cranfield University, where Dawid received the Lord Kings Norton medal for the best PhD thesis in 2017. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA and multiple advanced degrees in engineering and academic practice from Cranfield University and The Silesian University of Technology.
