Dr. Oliver Borchers

Dr. Oliver Borchers has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Oliver is currently serving as the CTO at Oxolo since January 2022. Prior to this, they held positions at Oxolo as Lead Machine Learning Engineer (NLP) from April 2021 to January 2022, and as a Machine Learning Engineer (NLP) from November 2020 to April 2021.

Before joining Oxolo, Dr. Borchers worked at the University of Mannheim as a Postdoctoral Researcher from April 2020 to November 2020, and as a PHD Candidate from January 2017 to April 2020. Dr. Oliver also served as a Visiting Researcher at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from October 2019 to December 2019, where they collaborated with Prof. Daniel Rigel on the third project of their dissertation.

Dr. Borchers started their career at Universität Siegen, where they held several roles including Marketing Assistant (April 2014 - September 2016), Management Assistant (Business School) (February 2015 - February 2016), and Academic Tutor (October 2013 - March 2015). Additionally, they founded iVyou.de in January 2010, a company focused on providing unique event photography experiences. Dr. Oliver also worked as a Photographer for Magazinfamilie.de from May 2012 to January 2014, specializing in high-quality company advertising and print marketing.

Dr. Oliver Borchers pursued their education at various institutions. Dr. Oliver completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Economics at the University of Siegen from 2011 to 2015. Following that, they pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Entrepreneurship and SME Management at the same university from 2015 to 2016. Dr. Borchers then furthered their education by undertaking a Doctorate in Marketing (Dr. rer. pol.) at the University of Mannheim from 2017 to 2020.
