Ruth Barrett

Ruth Barrett has over 15 years of experience in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as Senior Manager of Programmes and Contracts and Associate Director of Operations at OxSonics Therapeutics since June 2019, where responsibilities include overseeing operations, managing supplier relationships, and handling the OxSonics IP portfolio. Prior to this, Ruth held positions as a Non-Executive Director and Observer at PepGen Ltd, contributing to the development of nucleic acid therapeutics, and as Senior Technology Transfer Manager at Oxford University Innovation Limited, focusing on licensing and commercialization of biopharmaceutical innovations. Previous roles also include Consultant at PharmaVentures Ltd, where expertise in financial modeling and business development was leveraged, and Senior Scientist at DanioLabs Ltd, managing drug discovery programs. Ruth holds a PhD in Developmental Genetics from the University of Cambridge and a combined MA and BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford.
