Jack Markey

Jack Markey has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Jack is currently the Executive Director of Accounting at Oyster Point Pharma, where they have been since July 2022. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Accounting at the same company from September 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Oyster Point Pharma, Jack worked at Gearty & McIntyre as a Senior Director from January 2020 to September 2021. Jack also held the position of Senior Director - Technical Accounting Consulting at RSM US LLP from April 2018 to January 2020, where they specialized in providing advisory services and technical accounting consulting to clients in the life sciences industry.

In addition, Jack has experience in the healthcare sector, having worked at Eisai as an Assistant Controller from December 2014 to September 2017. Jack also briefly served as the Senior Director Technical Accounting at Eisai from April 2014 to December 2014.

Earlier in their career, Jack was the Director of Technical Accounting Research at Quest Diagnostics from July 2006 to April 2014. Jack also served as a Committee Member at FinREC from 2010 to 2014.

Prior to their roles in the healthcare industry, Jack worked at Lucent Technologies Inc. as the Director of Accounting Policy from 1998 to 2006. Jack also worked at Thermo Electron as the Manager of Financial Reporting from March 1993 to July 1998.

Jack began their career at Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Supervisor from November 1988 to March 1993. Jack also gained experience as an In-charge Accountant at Mortenson, Fleming, Grizzetti & Boiko from 1986 to 1988.

Jack Markey earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1986. Jack then pursued a Master's degree in Taxation from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus, which they completed in 2000. Later, Jack obtained an MBA from Colorado State University between 2005 and 2007.
