Brian Byrne

Brian Byrne has a diverse professional background, with experience in various roles and industries. Brian most recently worked as a Lead Spatial Data Analyst at OZ Minerals, where they utilized their expertise in spatial data analysis. Prior to that, they served as a Cavalry Trooper in the Australian Army. Brian also worked as a SNR Data Analyst Workforce Planning Architect at KBR, Inc., where they focused on workforce planning and data analysis. Additionally, Brian has held positions such as Data & Analytics Officer at Playford City Council and Mining Lease and GIS Database Manager at Malaco Leichhardt Pty Ltd. Brian began their career as a Geoscientist at Xstrata Copper and has also worked as a GIS Analyst & Surveyor at One Harvest. Brian's academic experience includes postgraduate studies in Geocomputation at the National Center for Geocomputation and computer science roles at NUI Maynooth. Brian has also worked as a teacher at the Center for Talented Youth in Ireland, where they taught photography to children.

Brian Byrne pursued their education in various fields, starting with a Higher Diploma in Legal & Policing Studies at Garda Training College from 2001 to 2002. Brian then completed a BA Arts degree at NUI Maynooth, focusing on Computer Science, Geography & Economics, Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, and Statistics, which they obtained from 2007 to 2010.

In 2010, Brian pursued a Masters in Science degree at the National Center for Geocomputation, National University of Ireland in Maynooth. During this program, their field of study included Geocomputation, GIS, and Remote Sensing Geology, which they completed in 2011.

Subsequently, from 2012 to 2014, Brian furthered their education at Birkbeck, University of London, where they pursued a Postgraduate Geology by Distance degree. This program allowed him to focus on Geology, building upon their previous coursework and experiences.
