Dr. Jeffrey Maki is a professor of radiology and the director of body MRI at the University of Washington. He specializes in cross-sectional imaging of the body using CT, MR and ultrasound. He has a strong interest in new magnetic resonance technologies and their application to oncology, cardiac and vascular MRI. Dr. Maki directs the UW cardiovascular MR program and performs research on cardiac MRI, MR angiography, MR contrast agents and novel MR imaging techniques.
Dr. Maki divides his time between clinical care reading primarily oncologic and cardiovascular MR and CT examinations, teaching trainees (residents and fellows), and performing research. He has been with the University of Washington system since 1998.
Dr. Maki is board certified in diagnostic radiology with advanced fellowship training in MRI. He is the recent past president of the MR Angiography Working Group. Dr. Maki is a member of numerous radiological societies and teaches and presents research throughout the world. He was listed as one of Seattle’s “Top Doctors” by SeattleMet in both 2012 and 2013.
