Zachary Slaton

Zachary Slaton currently serves as the Assistant Chief Engineer for PACCAR Electronics, leading the Embedded Engineering team in North America focused on the development of advanced electronics for major truck brands. Previously, Zachary was the Chairperson of the Diversity & Inclusion Council at Kenworth Truck Co., and earlier held the role of Director of Program Management, overseeing program management and process improvement initiatives. Earlier experience includes positions such as Engineering Section Manager, Supervisor, Principal Engineer, and Senior Project Engineer at Kenworth and PACCAR, where Zachary contributed significantly to various engineering and emissions programs. Additionally, Zachary has a background in freelance sports writing and worked as a Diesel Engine Engineer at Ford Motor Company. Educational qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
