Zhimin Xie

Zhimin Xie is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in battery and thermal engineering, currently serving as a CAE Engineer in Battery and Advanced Vehicle at PACCAR since May 2022, focusing on battery electric vehicle design and performance evaluation. Prior to PACCAR, Zhimin held positions at KULR Technology Group as a Battery and Thermal Engineer, where responsibilities included designing Li-ion battery packs for aerospace applications and collaborating with NASA and NREL on battery safety research. An earlier role at Qualcomm involved thermal power performance analysis for various chipsets, and initial experience included research and modeling in thermal dynamics at Global Engineering and Materials, alongside academic research at Texas A&M University in high-speed aerodynamics. Zhimin holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University and two degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology.
