Michelle Arbid

Michelle Arbid serves as an Associate Lecturer at Columbia University and an Executive Coach at Torch since August 2021. In their role at FEMA, Michelle has been an Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisor since July 2017, focusing on conflict prevention and resolution services across the agency. Responsibilities include coaching leaders, providing critical conflict analysis, and mediating disputes among disaster survivors and responders. Additionally, Michelle is the owner of Conflict Constructive, LLC, and has served as a mediator and conflict coach at the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution since February 2016. Past roles include Harm Reduction Specialist at Community Access and Postgraduate Fellowship Program Coordinator at the Association for Trauma Outreach and Prevention. Michelle holds a Master of Science in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Lebanese American University.
