John Hann

John Hann is the Head of Engineering at Paceline. Prior to their current position, John worked as a Senior Software Engineer at MackeyRMS from May 2018 to January 2020, where they led the UI team's efforts to migrate from AngularJS to Elm and ES7 while introducing scalable, yet ultra-simple architectures and patterns. John also worked with their architect to introduce a commodity language (JavaScript/node.js) into their existing server-side stack (based on Haskell and Docker).

Before their work at MackeyRMS, John was a Senior Software Engineer at TetraScience from October 2017 to April 2018. Their role there was to augment the existing team of software engineers to build out a new node-based, message-based microservices architecture. Besides coding, John provided feedback into the architectural process and introduced engineers to simplified functional programming patterns and architectures.

John Hann has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Diploma in College prep from Mount Saint Charles Academy.
