Ana Paula S. Carvalho, PhD, currently serves as Field Applications Bioinformatic Support, Scientist II at PacBio since June 2023. Prior experience includes an independent contractor role at the Florida Museum of Natural History from January 2021 to July 2023 and a position on the leadership team of 500 Women Scientists from January 2019 to May 2021. Ana Paula completed a PhD in Entomology at the University of Florida between 2016 and 2020, following a Master's degree in Animal Biodiversity at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria from 2012 to 2014, and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the same institution from 2008 to 2011. Early career experience includes an internship in the Laboratório de Interação Inseto-Planta and a role as an estagiária at Criadouro Conservacionista São Braz.
