Mathieu Foquet

Mathieu Foquet has extensive experience in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as Director at Pacific Biosciences since January 2004. Mathieu has led the team responsible for developing the next generation of SMRT cells, culminating in the release of the first fully integrated SMRT Cell for the SequEl product line. Previously, Mathieu managed the Nanofabrication Research Group, overseeing the design of PBI SMRT Cells and coordinating with various teams for process development. As a Senior Scientist, Mathieu was responsible for the manufacture of ZMW chips and collaborated with foundries to enhance throughput. Prior to joining Pacific Biosciences, Mathieu was a Post Doctoral Fellow at Cornell University, focusing on single molecule detection. Mathieu holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Cornell University and an Engineering degree from Université libre de Bruxelles.
