NCD Advisor M&E and Surveillance (Suva) at Pacific Community

Dr. Ilisapeci Kubuabola is currently the NCD Advisor M&E and Surveillance in Suva at the Pacific Community. Dr has extensive experience in their field, having served as the Director of the Pacific Research Centre for the Prevention and Control of NCD from 2010 to 2019, and as a Senior Lecturer in Epidemiology at Fiji School of Medicine from 2006 to 2009. Dr has also worked as a Medical Officer at Fiji Centre for Disease Control from 2000 to 2006.

Dr Ilisapeci Kubuabola has a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching from the University of the South Pacific in Fiji. Dr also has a Master of Applied Epidemiology from The Australian National University. For their undergraduate degrees, they have a Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine from the Fiji School of Medicine, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Otago. Dr also has a Diploma of Primary Health Care from the Fiji School of Medicine.

Dr Ilisapeci Kubuabola reports to Dr Si Thu Win Tin, Team Leader NCD-PCP (Suva). They work with Dr Tanieru Takiang - NCD Advisor Advocacy & CSO Engagement (Suva), Solene Bertrand-Protat - NCD Advisor (Noumea), and Dr Amerita Ravuvu - NCD Advisor Policy & Planning (Suva).
