Hanno Petras is a seasoned research scientist and academic with extensive experience in prevention science and program evaluation. Currently, Hanno serves as a Senior Research Scientist at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation and holds various advisory and leadership roles, including membership on the Advisory Council for the Center for Advancing Prevention Excellence and the Scientific Advisory Board of Applied Prevention Science International. Hanno's past positions include Principal Researcher at the American Institutes for Research, Chief Methodologist at JBS International, and Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland. Hanno has a strong academic foundation with a Ph.D. in Sociology from Christian Albrechts Universität and contributes to multiple research projects focusing on violence prevention, substance abuse, and community health initiatives.
