Dave Bennett

Dave Bennett has over three decades of experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of Renewable Gas and Low Carbon Fuels at FortisBC. In this role, Bennett leads initiatives aimed at developing renewable natural gas supply and strategies for decarbonizing natural gas in pursuit of a net-zero future by 2050. Previous roles at FortisBC include Director of Communications and External Relations, where Bennett managed media relations and public policy, and Director of Resource Planning and Market Development, where Bennett was instrumental in developing North America's first Renewable Natural Gas programs. In addition to current board memberships with the BC Bioenergy Network, Surrey Board of Trade, and Pacific NorthWest Economic Region, Bennett has held leadership positions in various industry committees. Bennett earned a BSc in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Victoria.
