Shanza Riaz

Shanza Riaz is a graduate research associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, specializing in solar perovskite nanorod synthesis and material characterization using advanced microscopy techniques, as well as data analysis and optimization through Python and machine learning. Prior to this role, Shanza served as a graduate research assistant at Cornell University, focusing on the reproducible synthesis of lead-based inorganic thin film perovskites and applying machine learning to enhance data reliability. Shanza's engineering experience includes positions at bp and cGMP Consulting Inc., where responsibilities included managing reliability improvement programs and conducting performance data analyses. Shanza has a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Engagements in eco-internships with WWF and teaching roles in educational programs demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability and community development.
