Luke Michel

Head of Middle School & Teacher of History at PACIFIC RIDGE SCHOOL

Mr. Michel came to Pacific Ridge from Trevor Day School in NYC, where he spent six years teaching history and, for the last two years, also served as History Department chair. Previously, he taught history and English at Dutchess Day School in upstate New York and at the Hyde Leadership Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. Mr. Michel is a native of Woodstock, NY. He received his B.A. in History from George Mason University and his M.A. in Private School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University. He has also spent significant time working as a musician. Upon graduation, he spent six years touring the East Coast and recording several albums as the bass guitar player for a Washington, D.C. based band. Mr. Michel enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and camping, playing bass guitar, and riding his bike.
