Sharon Paley

Sharon Paley has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades with several prominent companies. Currently, they hold the position of Director- Applications Engineering at Pacific Sound Control since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate | Acoustics at Shen Milsom & Wilke from 2022 to 2023, providing acoustic consulting services and preparing reports for acoustical project recommendations. From 2012 to 2020, Sharon held multiple roles at Ecore™, including Business Development Manager - Commercial and Acoustic Engineer. Additionally, they worked as an Acoustic Consultant at Metropolitan Acoustics from 2011 to 2012, specializing in interior room acoustics and marketing. Sharon also gained experience as an Acoustic Engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplanes and as a Summer Architectural Acoustics Intern at Acentech in 2010. In 2008, Sharon interned at The Boeing Company, where they improved processes and performed quality assurance tasks. Sharon started their career in the music industry as a Sales Associate and Customer Service Manager at Sam Ash Music from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they served as a Music Supervision Intern at Hit the Ground Running, where they managed office duties and assisted in recommending music for movies and television.

Sharon Paley completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History at UCLA from 1999 to 2004. Sharon then pursued post-baccalaureate study in Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Long Beach from 2006 to 2008. During the same period, they also obtained a Certificate in Live Sound Reinforcement from Golden West College. Subsequently, they earned their Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Acoustics from Boston University between 2008 and 2010.
