Takeshi Kono

Takeshi Kono is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as General Manager at GYXIS CORPORATION, overseeing global NGL/LPG trading since April 2024. Concurrently, Takeshi holds the position of Managing Director at Pacific Summit Energy, focusing on business developments and managing power and environmental products trading activities since January 2023. In addition, Takeshi has been a Manager at Sumitomo Corporation of Americas since May 2019, specializing in business development for the energy sector in the U.S. Alongside these roles, Takeshi has been the Department General Manager at Sumitomo Corporation Europe Limited since May 2012, responsible for business development in natural gas trading across Europe. Takeshi’s career began with trading LPG in London. Takeshi earned a degree in Economics from Kyoto University from 2000 to 2005.
