Michael Espiritu

Michael Espiritu is a highly experienced academic and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Pacific University and the Pacific University School of Pharmacy. With a background in Molecular Biosciences and Bioengineering, Michael's research focuses on enzyme kinetics and drug interactions, particularly relating to breast cancer medication letrozole and the inhibition of CYP2A6 by trans cinnamic aldehyde. Previous roles include a Junior Communications Officer for the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics and various teaching and research positions at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Hawaii Pacific University. Michael has expertise in in vitro drug metabolism, protein expression, purification, quantitative mass spectrometry, and various analytical techniques.
