Cindy Alvarado

Cindy Alvarado has a diverse work experience in the legal and compliance field. Cindy began their career as a Flight Attendant at AirTran Airways in 2004. Cindy then worked as a Paralegal in bankruptcy and financial restructuring at Porzio Bromberg & Newman P.C.

In 2013, Cindy joined Porzio Life Sciences, LLC as a Compliance Associate, where they managed system implementations for new customers and advised on regulatory requirements related to transparency reporting.

Cindy later joined Porzio Bromberg & Newman P.C. as an Attorney, focusing on life sciences compliance and regulatory counseling. Cindy provided counsel to pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology companies on various compliance matters. Cindy also audited compliance programs and developed and implemented compliance programs for clients.

In 2016, Cindy joined Pacira BioSciences, Inc. as a Compliance Contractor and eventually transitioned to roles of increasing responsibility, including Director, Senior Director, and Executive Director of Compliance & Compliance Counsel. In these roles, they provided compliance counseling and developed compliance policies, procedures, and training programs for the company. Cindy also worked closely with the Legal team to provide strategic legal advice in line with applicable healthcare laws and industry codes.

Cindy Alvarado completed their Bachelor's Degree at The University of Georgia from 1999 to 2003. Cindy then pursued their Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Fordham University School of Law from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Cindy obtained the U.S. Healthcare Compliance Certificate from Seton Hall University School of Law in June 2018, followed by the European Healthcare Compliance Certificate in June 2019. Cindy also obtained admission in New Jersey in May 2011.
