Joel Sherwood

Joel Sherwood has extensive experience in the healthcare and medical affairs sectors. Currently serving as Senior Director of Government Affairs at Pacira BioSciences, Inc. since May 2015, Joel has held various leadership roles including Director of Medical Science Liaison and Associate Director of Medical Affairs: Clinical Outcome Specialist. Joel's military background includes service as a Commissioned Officer in the US Air Force Reserve since July 2015 and as a Radioman in the US Navy Reserve from April 1993 to April 2001. Previous roles in healthcare include positions at JPS Health Network and The Medicines Company, as well as a foundation as a Registered Nurse at HCA Healthcare. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing from Tarrant County College.
