Louise Cotton

Louise Cotton has a strong background in Quality Assurance (QA) and Operations with several years of experience in various roles. Louise most recently worked at Pacira BioSciences, Inc. as the Director of QA Operations since November 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of QA Operations, Europe at Flexion Therapeutics from February 2020 to November 2021. Louise also served as the Quality Lead for Quality Assurance Operations in the UK at Flexion Therapeutics from June 2017 to February 2020.

Before joining Flexion Therapeutics, Cotton worked at Zogenix, Inc. as the Director of Product Quality, EU from December 2014 to June 2017. Louise gained significant experience at Patheon Inc., where they held several roles including Quality Director from September 2010 to July 2013, QA Operations Manager in 2010, Production Manager from November 2008 to May 2010, and Product Quality Manager from November 2007 to November 2008.

Earlier in their career, Cotton worked as the Quality Director at Catalent from March 2005 to September 2007 and as a Production Shift Manager at Cardinal Health from October 2005 to March 2007.

Louise Cotton obtained a BSc degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Glasgow, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Louise further pursued their education at the University of Brighton, from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a PGDip degree in Industrial Pharmaceuticals. In addition to their academic qualifications, Louise Cotton is also a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, which they obtained in March 2021.
