Giacomo M. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Giacomo started their career at CDW in 1993, where they held various finance positions including Sr. Accountant and Credit Manager. Giacomo later transitioned to Newark Electronics as the Manager of Customer Receivables and Credit. During their time there, they implemented process enhancements that resulted in significant cost savings. Giacomo then joined the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois as a Wish Granter and former Associate Board member, where they successfully led fundraising events and helped raise awareness for the organization. Giacomo subsequently worked at U.S. Cellular as a Financial Analysis and Reporting Manager and later as the Sr. Manager of Multi-Channel Planning, Analysis, and Reporting, overseeing forecasting and financial reporting for the Customer Care and Sales channels. Most recently, Giacomo held various roles at Packaging Corporation of America, including Assistant Manager of Credit, Manager of Accounts Receivable and Credit, Director of Accounts Receivable and Credit, and Sr. Director of Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Accounts Payable. In these positions, they played a key role in driving the company's vision of being a leader in packaging, transportation, and display products.
Giacomo M. completed their high school education at Maine East High School from 1986 to 1990, where they took general education courses. Giacomo then attended Loyola University Chicago from 1990 to 1991, where they did core classes but did not complete a specific degree. Afterward, they enrolled in Dominican University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communication from 1991 to 1993. Finally, Giacomo pursued further education at Dominican University, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from 1993 to 1995.
