John Copenhaver

John Copenhaver is an accomplished educator and novelist with a comprehensive background in teaching and creative writing. Currently serving as a Faculty Mentor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Professor Faculty Consultant at Packback, Copenhaver focuses on fiction writing and genre fiction. Additional roles include Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and an experienced novelist with ongoing contributions to Pegasus Books. Copenhaver's extensive teaching history encompasses various positions, ranging from English Teacher and English Department Chair at Flint Hill School to prior roles at Moravian Academy and Woodberry Forest School. An MFA in Creative Writing from George Mason University complements a Master's in English Literature from Middlebury College and a Bachelor's from Davidson College. Copenhaver also gained valuable experience as an intern at the National Endowment for the Arts, assisting with literary panels and program promotion.
